JUDGING PROCESS
Official Nominees of the 1st Annual Native-E Music Awards® will be announced on August 8, 2008.
The final judging process will commence on August 8, 2008 and will end on August 14, 2008.
Once entries have been received, they will be directed to the first stage of processing by the Native-E Music Committee.
This process consists of identifying and placing all entries into their proper categories. Submitted entries will be posted
on our site after the submissions closing date.
The next stage of processing consists of selecting up to 7 nominees for each general category, up to 10 nominees for the "Spirit of the People Award,"
and finally up to 20 nominees for the "Mainstream Song of the Year" category in which 6 awards will be awarded. Official nominees will be
posted up on our site.
The final stage of processing consists of our Native-E Panel of Judges submitting their final reviews and decisions for each category. Each judges's
ballots will then be directed to an outside accounting firm for an official final tally. Each winning ballot will be placed into sealed envelopes to be
revealed "live" only on the night of the awards show.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Under no circumstance can any judge be contacted by anyone pertaining to the awards show, except in the
case of press relations. In this case, it will be in each individual judge's discretion whether they
may allow contact of this nature.
Each of our judges have been instructed to report any contact regarding any mention of the 1st Annual
Native-E Music Awards® other than mentioned above, or to verify if they are in fact acting as judges for the awards event.
A copy of any violating contact media will be saved and forwarded by our judges to our
affairs department.
Any entrant who violates these rules will be investigated. If found guilty they
will be immediately disqualified without refund and will be forever banned from participating in the awards show.
